Today, on National Nonprofit Day, I am honored to share: In Our Arms Caregiver Network is officially here.
This vision took root in 2003, when I gathered a handful of military families raising children with seizures for our very first informal caregiver support group. From that seed grew a deeper calling, shaped by eighteen years of caring for our precious Robert, every single day. It was a journey of love and profound isolation. After he passed away in my arms in 2015, I knew that one day I would need to bring real attention to the role of caregivers.
Now, that day is here. We are building programs and community where caregivers are seen, connected, and resourced. Every caregiver matters. And when community and resources are missing, the health and stability of entire families are put at risk. I know this journey well. So do the 63 million adult caregivers across the U.S.
Welcome to In Our Arms Caregiver Network. There is good work ahead, and I am so glad you are here for it. Together, we will strengthen caregivers one family at a time.
(In Our Arms Caregiver Network is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit. Your support is tax-deductible.)
